The Boston Celtics held off a spirited comeback attempt from the Dallas Mavericks to win Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals 106-98 and take a 3-0 lead in the series.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, while Jaylen Brown added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis returned from a calf injury to score 20 points for the Mavericks, who were led by Luka Doncic's 26 points.
The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, cutting the Celtics' lead to just four points with just over two minutes remaining. However, the Celtics were able to hold on for the win and take a commanding lead in the series.
The Celtics will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night. The Mavericks will need to win Game 4 to avoid being swept.
